Full Description

This collection of books taps into literature’s capacity to increase our empathy for others and to be more socially aware. If you are using the Social Issues Book Clubs middle school reading unit, these books will support your work in the unit, transforming the way your students see others, showing them ways to connect, and emboldening them to stand up for what’s right.

Please be aware that this is a book club shelf, and as such, there is some duplication between the titles in this shelf and the titles in the core 6-8 libraries. The book clubs shelves provide additional copies (4 per title) of popular books from across the grades 6–8 general classroom libraries to support powerful book club reading and discussion.

For information about additional TCRWP Library Shelves please visit CalkinsLibraries.com.

Please note: TCRWP Classroom Libraries are not available for sale or distribution outside of the U.S.
