Sylvia Holladay-Hicks

Sylvia Holladay-Hicks is an English professor, administrator, consultant, and writer who has been active in two-year colleges since the early 1960s. She has taught every course offered in the first two years of college English; has served on various state, regional, and national boards and committees; and has published over 200 articles, reviews, and poems. She is the author of The Bedford Guide for College Writers, now in its sixth edition, and Bridges: A Reader for College Writers, forthcoming from Pearson/Prentice–Hall in 2005.
