Rebecca Cronin began her work in the field of education as a preschool teacher on a 1200 acre sheep ranch in Northern California. Since that time, she’s been a teacher and, for almost two decades, a staff developer. Recently, Rebecca has been a major leader in curriculum development with the brand new Units of Study in both writing and reading. Because of her deep grounding in the new units, she is often the spokesperson for them. Rebecca is a co-author of two reading Units of Study including, Sharing Reading and Learning About the World and a kindergarten writing unit, Writing for Readers: Writing Readable True Stories. She is also an author of a nonfiction series in the Jump Rope Readers. In her work partnering with schools, Rebecca especially enjoys helping teachers to draw on research and best practices in order to teach assessment-based small groups, and designing curricula that provides kids with a balanced and responsible education.
