Carol Jago has taught English in middle and high school for 33 years, is past president of the NCTE, and serves as an associate director of the California Reading and Literature Project at UCLA. Carol served as AP Literature content advisor for the College Board and has published six books for teachers with Heinemann, most recently With Rigor for All, Second Edition: Meeting Common Core Standards for Reading Literature; and Lessons from a Writer's Life: Readings and Resources for Teachers and Students.

This webinar series, based on the Pinnell & Fountas professional book, The Continuum of Literacy Learning PreK-2, will guide you in exploring ways to use this professional resource to link assessment to instruction. As a part of our work together, we will view video clips to "step inside" classrooms at each grade level and look for specific evidence of teaching and learning across the curricular areas detailed in the book.
