Payment Methods

For online book orders, we accept VISA, MasterCard, and American Express. If you would like to use a purchase order for a books please call our Customer Service Department at 800.225.5800 (U.S. Only) +1.603.431.7894 between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm EST. All book orders must be prepaid. Online registrations for Heinemann Workshops and Heinemann Institutes may be paid for by credit card or purchase order. However, if you are purchasing books and registering for professional development online, in the same order, you will need to pay by credit card for both.


Shipping Methods

Your order can be shipped via Standard Ground, Second-Day, or Overnight service. Alaska and Hawaii customers, please allow an additional business day for delivery. Orders for in stock merchandise generally ship within four business days of the order date. Backorders are accepted and will ship when the item becomes available. Customers outside the US cannot place orders online and should contact Customer Service or their international representative.

If you wish to change your shipping method you may do so before completing your online order. Either return to the shopping cart to go through the checkout process again using a different shipping method, or use your back button on your web browser to return to the shipping screen, change your shipping method, then click continue at the bottom of the screen to continue checking out.


Sales Tax & Shipping Rates

We currently collect sales tax for orders shipping to the states listed below.

Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, and Missouri residents add appropriate state sales tax on subtotal.

Connecticut, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Vermont residents add sales tax on subtotal plus shipping charges.

Shipping charges are based on order value. Orders valued up to $2,000 and shipping to a U.S. address will be charged 10% of order value, with a $7.00 minimum. Charges are per shipment and will be added to your invoice. Contact customer service for rates on larger orders or to international destinations. Before completing your order you can calculate the shipping and tax rates. Refer to the shipping and tax section at the bottom of your shopping cart page.

Please give a street address when ordering, or select Priority Mail if only a P.O. Box is available. Institutions attaching purchase orders will be billed based on order value with a minimum of $7.00. Books should be received within 8-10 business days from the receipt of your order. If you must have a book sent by express, please call with instructions. Non US customers cannot place orders online and should contact Customer Service or their international representative.


Returns

Returns must be accompanied by invoice and will be accepted only within the first twelve months of purchase. All returned products must be in print, unused, and in saleable condition. Please send your prepaid returns to:

Video purchases are nonreturnable. CD-ROM products must be unopened to be accepted for return. Claims regarding shortages, or damaged or defective materials must be made within 14 days of receipt. Accepted returns will be credited to your account. Requests for refunds must be made in writing and will be granted only if no account balance is due.


Cancelling an Order

If you'd like to cancel an online order you've recently placed, you may contact our Customer Service Department at 800.225.5800 (U.S. Only) +1.603.431.7894 between the hours of 8:30am and 5:00pm EST. As online orders are often shipped the day they are placed, we may be unable to cancel your order. Your customer service representative will be able to advise you of any available options.
