Natalie Louis

Natalie Louis was always fascinated by children, but it was not until she lived and taught English as a Second Language in Micronesia that she realized how much she wanted to teach. After two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer, Natalie came to study at Teachers College. On the first day of living in New York, Natalie fell in love with the city and the children she was with in Harlem. She had found her passion and her home. For the next seven years, Natalie taught inclusion first, second, and third grade in New York City public schools. For the last eight years, she been teaching and learning alongside teachers and students as a Teachers College Reading and Writing Project staff developer. Natalie and her husband Jimmy are parents of two sons, Dylan and Luke.
