I work at a day school for the Deaf and hard of hearing and we have been using guided reading methods with our students for several years and have seen significant progress in their reading. Our school district has asked our teachers to begin using the F & P Benchmark Assessment. We cannot take word-for-word running records with our students, as in ASL you do not use many structures of the English language. How are other Deaf Programs taking running records?
