When the new iPad App is released will it sync to the existing data management software?

The iPad app will synch to the Online Data Management System, but not to the local, stand-alone data management program. In fact, the locally installed data management program is being discontinued, as most people are opting to migrate to the Online Data Management System because it is a more robust data management system.
