Peggy A Sharp

Peggy Sharp is a teacher and professor who shares her good ideas with other teachers throughout the United States and Canada. Known for her fast-paced, practical workshops, she is an experienced classroom teacher and library media specialist. She has received national awards for her creative teaching ideas, including the Creative Classroom Award from Teacher magazine, Outstanding Young Educator Award, and the Evelyn Lampman Award for outstanding contributions in promoting children's literature and reading. She has written many articles about teaching and facilitating workshops for professional journals and magazines, and she is the author of numerous books for teachers and library media specialists featuring practical, field-tested teaching strategies. Her radio program, "Read It!," features book talks for students in grades K-8. Currently, Peggy is a professor at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon.
